Benefits of Lyocell

Lyocell is made out of wood pulp – most often eucalyptus (sometimes birch or oak). and it is referred to as a regenerated fibre with botanic origins. This means that Lyocell is neither synthetic nor a fully natural fibre, rather than something in between. This is what makes Lyocell so amazing!

Lyocell is only the brand name (Like Kleenex to tissues), the material used to produce Lyocell is called lyocell. That is why it is important to look out for the brand name to ensure you purchase 100% lyocell for all the benefits!

Feeling Comfortable

Lyocell is extremely versatile, no matter if you are looking for a women’s Lyocell clothing, Lyocell sleepwear or Lyocell bedding, it can be made from this amazing material.. And Lyocell comes in varying thickness and texture, meaning that you can buy super soft, almost silky Lyocell clothing, which is pleasant to your skin and keeping you comfortable all day. In addition, due to its natural qualities Lyocell is a highly breathable, moisture-wicking material, that retains colour extremely well. That means bye-bye faded garments with Lyocell clothing!

Happy and Healthy

Due to its moisture-wicking properties, Lyocell is excellent for sensitive skin as it discourages the growth of bacteria. In addition, Lyocellis reported to be extremely soft and much less likely to crease or wrinkle than other materials (like bamboo or cotton).

Lyocell bedding is extremely popular when made into Lyocell bed sheets and Lyocell sleepwear  as it is very breathable, therefore it is able to keep you cool in the summer and hot in the winter. Lyocell is just incredibly versatile.

Sustainability Matters

Lyocell is much more sustainable than other materials, such as cotton and bamboo. Eucalyptus trees are known as very sustainable trees, as they are very fast growing and they require small amounts of water to thrive, therefore reducing carbon and water footprint during production of Lyocell.

In addition, during the production of Lyocell, we use what is called a closed loop production process – meaning that the solvents used to create the Lyocell fibres are recycled and reused to make Lyocell even more sustainable and eco-friendly.
